On this course we look further into the philosophy and methodology of teaching and practising to the beat. We dive deep into the Science of Breath and how traditional pranayama relates to modern breathing practices. Understand the union of breath, music and yoga at the heart of 4BEAT and its effect on our brain, nervous system and state of mind.

Focussing on the backarch branch (❤️‍🔥) of the 4BEAT sequence learn how to safely and calmly orient “heart opening” spinal extension poses, on your back, on your front, on your hands and upside down, from the perspective of both the practitioner and the teacher.

Skilful use of touch is key to the practical side of the 4BEAT method. Learn the difference between active and passive assisting and when and how to use both for a range of practitioners and poses.

Learn how to teach to the beat and integrate the music to complement your teaching. Understanding flow state and how to get into it.

This course can be taken as a stand alone 50hrs or as the first part of the 100hrs (with 4BEAT “Base” in February)
